Character Creation

Attributes

In order to ensure that characters are properly heroic, PCs should be generated by rolling 4 six sided dice, rerolling all ones, and then dropping the lowest and toralling the remaining three. This should be done 7 times and then the lowest of the seven should also be dropped. The remaining 6 ability scores should then be assigned as desired.

Education

Unique to this campaign world, due to wide spread public education amongst all the races and nations of the world, all characters from the lowliest commoner to the most exalted emperor has at least a rudimentary knowledge of magic. Each character must choose one of the following educations, should one be selected that corresponds with the character's spellcasting class then the Education Spells are treated as bonus spells due to high ability score. These rudimentary abilities are sufficient to use both spell trigger and spell completion items. Bonus spells for high ability scores are not granted to those with only an education.

Prestige Classes

In order to maintain the unique flavor of each character, only one prestige class may be taken by a character. Upon achieving Epic Level the character may also take an epic prestige class, or a second basic prestige class. After this point the character may enter one additional prestige class at 101st level, and every one hundred levels thereafter (201, 301, etc.). Prestige classes are difficult to enter and must be role-played into, entrance into a specific prestige class is in no way guaranteed.
